Nu.Q® Cancer: New Study Highlights Prognostic Value of Circulating Nucleosomes in Advanced Ovarian Cancer

July 30, 2026

Researchers from the GINECO/GINEGEPS CHIVA Phase II trial have published new findings demonstrating the potential of circulating nucleosomes as prognostic biomarkers in advanced ovarian cancer.

Using Volition’s Nu.Q® immunoassays, the study evaluated baseline nucleosome levels and their changes during neoadjuvant chemotherapy. The results showed that baseline H3K27Me3 and H3K36Me3 nucleosome levels were associated with important clinical outcomes, including progression-free survival and the likelihood of complete interval cytoreductive surgery.

The findings also suggest that nucleosome biomarkers provide complementary information to established markers such as CA-125 KELIM, supporting their potential role in patient stratification and treatment planning.
